UPPM
The Research and Community Service Unit (UPPM) of the Diponegoro University Vocational School is a unit that oversees research and community service conducted by lecturers and students at the Diponegoro University Vocational School. There are two types of research, namely leading applied research and strategic applied research. Similarly, there are two types of community service, namely community service funded by the Diponegoro University DIPA and independently funded research.
Leading Applied Research is applied research that refers to leading fields that have been determined in the Higher Education Research Master Plan (RIP). This research must be focused and top-down or bottom-up in nature, with funding, facilities, and research infrastructure support from higher education institutions and stakeholders who have direct or indirect interests. The ultimate goal of this research is to produce technological innovations in frontier fields and social engineering to enhance sustainable development at the local and national levels. (read more)
Strategic Applied Research Activities are a response to the announcement of six national strategic fields by the President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2008, which require intensive research to address various issues facing the Indonesian nation. The six strategic areas were developed by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DP2M) of the Directorate General of Higher Education into 12 strategic research themes, accommodating all branches of science in higher education.

Recap of Community Service
The community service program at the Vocational School consists of three types, namely DIPA fund community service, independent community service, and study program flagship community service. The purpose of this program is to improve the quality of community service activities by utilizing knowledge and applying the research results of teaching staff at the Vocational School (SV) of Diponegoro University to help solve problems in the community.
Criteria and General Requirements
1. Community Service in 2021 is carried out in a team.
2. The chairperson and members of the Community Service Team must be active civil servant lecturers or Undip lecturers who are not currently on study leave. The team consists of a chairperson and members with a maximum total of 5 (five) lecturers (1 chairperson and 4 members) and must include students.
3. Team members may come from different departments.
4. Applicable to all ranks and categories.
5. The funds provided are IDR 1,000,000 per person per proposal (DIPA) or adjusted to the proposer’s needs (independent).
6. A community service scheme is provided that can be implemented in semester I (between January and June) or semester II (between July and December).
7. The title and proposal for Community Service must not be currently submitted and/or previously funded by other community service or research schemes, whether funded by DIPA SV Undip or other external funds.
