UNDIP Vocational School Holds BEN CONNECT to Strengthen Student–Alumni Network

Semarang, September 13, 2025 – Diponegoro University’s Vocational School (UNDIP) successfully organized BEN CONNECT: Alumni and Student Collaboration Space for Strengthening Global Networks, held online via Zoom Meeting on September 12, 2025.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., Rector of UNDIP; Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, M.Si., Dean of the Vocational School; Prof. Dr. Ir. Hadiyanto, S.T., M.Sc., IPU., Director of Reputation, Partnerships, and Global Connectivity at UNDIP, and moderated by Martanti Aji Pangestu, S.T., M.T., lecturer of PTRP UNDIP. Alumni, students, and members of the academic community joined the program to share experiences and build professional networks.

With the theme “Global Reputation Through Strengthening Alumni Networks of the Vocational School,” BEN CONNECT 2025 served as a collaborative platform between alumni and students to reinforce UNDIP Vocational School’s global network while enhancing its reputation. The event featured notable alumni speakers: Multazam, S.T., Director of PT. Delta Oriental Kapuas, and Muna Auliyatun Naafi, S.Tr.Si, Founder of Shankara Wedding Organizer, who inspired participants through their professional journeys.

In his remarks, UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo expressed his appreciation for the achievements of the Vocational School. Despite being the youngest faculty, it has shown remarkable progress by delivering high-quality outputs, contributing positively to the UNDIP community, and demonstrating strong competitiveness.

The Rector also conveyed his hopes for graduates and alumni of the Vocational School: “We hope vocational graduates will become independent individuals, either by creating their own ventures or by working professionally. At the same time, we expect successful alumni to care for their juniors by offering guidance and building networks to help them enter the workforce,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Dean of the Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, M.Si., emphasized the significance of the event: “God willing, tonight’s program serves as a remarkable gathering as well as a strategic strength to build a global reputation,” he remarked.

During the presentation session, Muna Auliyatun Naafi highlighted the importance of verbal communication skills as a measure of intelligence. She shared how her vocational training experience led her to career opportunities and contributions beyond expectations.

On the other hand, Multazam encouraged students not to let limitations hinder their growth. He stressed the importance of having clear life goals and maintaining respect for parents, as their prayers and blessings are a powerful source of success.

Through BEN CONNECT 2025, UNDIP Vocational School reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening alumni–student networks as part of its continuous effort to elevate the reputation of vocational education.
